Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg and mix it with the milk. Pour into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in diced apples.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C).

Cooking

  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For best results, maintain oil temperature between 350°F and 375°F. Serve warm for the best taste experience.
