  • 3 pieces ripe pears (Bosc or Bartlett), halved and cored These varieties are known for their aromatic sweetness.
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted Use real butter for the best results.
  • 2 tbsp honey Use local honey for better taste.
  • 1 cup mixed berries Fresh or frozen; adapt based on availability.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped Can substitute with pecans or sunflower seeds for allergies.
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled Substitute with goat cheese if preferred.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash the pears, cut them in half, and core them. Arrange them cut side up in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter and honey, then drizzle the mixture over the pears.
  • Scatter mixed berries and chopped walnuts over the pears.
  • Crumble blue cheese generously over each pear half.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until pears are tender.
  • Serve warm, optionally adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave, being careful not to overheat to avoid mushiness.
