  • 2 cups Fresh broccoli florets Packed with vitamins and offers a satisfying crunch.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low-sodium preferred.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1 inch Ginger, grated Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For tenderizing the beef.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil Essential for stir-frying.
  • 1/2 cup Beef broth Low-sodium can be used.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds For garnish.

Preparation

  • Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
  • In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef and let it marinate for about 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef to the hot skillet, stir-frying for about 3-5 minutes until browned.
  • Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they turn vibrant green.
  • Pour in the beef broth, bringing it to a boil. Let it simmer until the sauce reduces slightly.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, marinate longer, avoid overcrowding the pan, and slice beef against the grain.
