  • 4 pieces pork chops Bone-in preferred for extra flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Use good quality butter for better taste.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can substitute with other oils.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 fresh herbs Thyme or rosemary are great choices.
  • 1 piece lemon wedges For serving to brighten the flavors.
  • to taste salt and pepper Preferably fresh ground.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Add minced garlic and let it cook for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the butter to the skillet and start spooning it over the pork chops as it melts.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for about 10-15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Let the chops rest for at least 5 minutes before serving with lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, bring pork chops to room temperature before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
