Layer Ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation of Cream

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and heavy cream. Beat with a mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the amaretto liqueur, cherry juice, and vanilla extract. Beat again for another minute until combined.

Combining Sweet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cherry preserves. Fold this into the mascarpone mixture, followed by the chopped cherries.

Layering the Tiramisu

  • In a shallow dish, mix the remaining amaretto liqueur and cherry juice for dipping the ladyfingers.
  • Quickly dip ladyfingers into the mixture (do not soak) and lay them in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone cherry mixture over the ladyfingers.
  • Layer another set of dipped ladyfingers on top, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chilling

  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings before serving.

Serving

  • Serve with a large spoon and enjoy the delightful flavors!

Notes

Using good-quality mascarpone is crucial. Ensure heavy cream is cold for best whipping results. Resist the urge to dig in right away; it’s worth the wait!
