  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use rotisserie chicken for ease.
  • 4 pieces pita breads Soft pita is preferred, but tortillas can be used.
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce Homemade or store-bought works.
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped Romaine is recommended but any greens can work.
  • 1 piece tomato, diced Adds freshness.
  • 1/2 piece onion, thinly sliced Red onions add flavor, sweet onions are milder.
  • 1/2 piece cucumber, sliced Provides crunch.

Preparation

  • If using uncooked chicken, cook it breast in a skillet with olive oil, salt, pepper, and your favorite spices like paprika and garlic powder.
  • Warm the pita breads in a dry skillet over medium heat or microwave them for 15-20 seconds.

Assembly

  • Spread the warm pita flat. Add shredded chicken, followed by chopped lettuce, diced tomato, sliced cucumber, and onion.
  • Drizzle tzatziki sauce generously over the top.
  • Fold the pita over the filling and enjoy.

Notes

Be generous with the tzatziki for added flavor. Use fresh veggies for the best results.
