Ingredients

Pasta and Protein

  • 12 ounces Linguine Long, flat pasta that soaks up the sauce.
  • 2 breasts Chicken Breast Lean source of protein; can substitute with thighs for juiciness.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Freshly minced for best flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Avoid margarine for rich sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Use fresh for the best acidity.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the linguine in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Cooking

  • Season and cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, then add it to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Drizzle lemon juice over the chicken and let it simmer for a minute.
  • Combine the drained linguine with the chicken and garlic mixture in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed for a glossy sauce.
  • Toss everything together, taste for seasoning adjustment, then serve warm.

Notes

For best results, consider marinating the chicken and avoid burning the garlic. Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to three days.
