Ingredients
  

For the Roasted Walnuts

  • 1 cup walnut halves These get roasted and caramelized.
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup Can substitute with honey.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon Enhances the cozy flavor.
  • pinch salt Enhances flavors.

For the Brie

  • 8 oz wheel of Brie cheese Use a high-quality Brie.
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 tbsp honey Optional drizzle for sweetness.

For Serving

  • crackers or crostini Pick your favorites for crunch.
  • fresh apple or pear slices For a refreshing bite.
  • grapes or pomegranate seeds For color and sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the walnut halves with maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Spread the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Roast walnuts in the oven for 8–10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Allow them to cool completely.
  • Unwrap the Brie and place it on a parchment-lined baking dish. Bake for about 10 minutes, until soft and warm.
  • Top the baked Brie with cranberry sauce and drizzle with honey. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves.

Assembly

  • Place the baked Brie in the center of a serving board.
  • Arrange the roasted walnuts around the Brie.
  • Add the crackers or crostini, fresh fruit slices, and decorate with pomegranate seeds or grapes.
  • Finish with sprigs of rosemary or thyme for decoration.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality cheese and nuts. Customize the fruit and nut selection based on personal preference. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
