  • 1 cup all-purpose flour This forms the base moisture to hold onto the spices and coatings.
  • 2 large eggs (beaten) The binding agent that helps the flour and breadcrumbs adhere.
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs Panko provides extra crunchiness.
  • 1 tsp paprika For color and a subtle smoky flavor.
  • ½ tsp garlic powder Adds depth to the flavor.
  • to taste salt & pepper Crucial for seasoning the chicken.
  • as needed oil for frying Vegetable or canola oil preferred.
  • as needed ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce For serving.

Preparation

  • Season your chicken strips with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  • Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and the last for breadcrumbs.
  • Dredge each chicken strip in flour, dip it in eggs, and coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere.

Cooking

  • Heat enough oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Carefully place the coated chicken strips in batches into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer fried strips to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, do not rush the frying process and ensure the oil is hot enough. For a healthier version, consider baking instead of frying.
