  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Full-fat recommended
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese The sharper the cheese, the more flavor
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken or halal bacon, chopped For a savory touch
  • 2-3 pieces fresh jalapenos, seeded and finely diced Adjust based on your heat preference
  • 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced Optional for extra flavor
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Enhances flavor
  • to taste salt & pepper Essential for balancing flavors

Wrappers and Oil

  • 12 pieces egg roll wrappers, about 6"x6" For the crispy exterior
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil, for brushing Helps achieve perfect crispiness
  • water for sealing wrappers Secret weapon for keeping rolls closed

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare your workstation by laying out all ingredients, mixing bowl, small bowl of water for sealing, and air fryer.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chicken or bacon, jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Take an egg roll wrapper and place it on a clean plate. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the lower third of the wrapper.
  • Roll the corner over the filling tightly, tucking in the sides as you go. Seal with a bit of water on the top corner.
  • Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling until all are rolled.

Cooking

  • Lightly brush each egg roll with olive or avocado oil on all sides.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange egg rolls in the basket, ensuring space between them.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, air fry at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes. These can be made ahead of time and frozen before cooking.
