  • 1/2 tsp black pepper For a little kick.
  • Salt Adjust according to taste.

For the rice

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp butter For extra flavor.

For the creamy veggie salad

  • 1/2 cup boiled carrots (cubed) A sweet contrast.
  • 1/2 cup boiled peas For color and nutrients.
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise Creamy element of the salad.
  • 1 tbsp yogurt Adds a tangy twist.
  • Salt & pepper to taste For rounding off the flavor.

Instructions

Marinate the Beef

  • Mix soy sauce, tomato paste, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  • Coat the beef steaks in the marinade and set aside for 30 minutes.

Cook the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a splash of olive oil.
  • Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Check for tenderness, aiming for a juicy, fork-tender result. Let rest.

Make the Rice

  • In a pot, combine basmati rice, water, butter, and a pinch of salt.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover, simmering for 15-20 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork after cooking.

Prepare the Salad

  • Combine boiled potatoes, carrots, and peas in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, yogurt, salt, and pepper. Toss with the vegetables.

Serve It Up

  • Plate the rice, add the beef steak, and a generous scoop of the creamy veggie salad.

Notes

Don't skip the marinating step! Letting the beef soak up those flavors makes a significant difference. Avoid overcooking the beef to maintain tenderness.
