  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg Freshly grated nutmeg is preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adjust based on taste preference.
  • 1 cup Ice Use to chill just before serving.

Optional Spirits

  • 1/2 cup Rum or Bourbon Add for an elevated experience.

Preparation

  • In a large punch bowl, pour in the eggnog.
  • Add freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon to the eggnog.
  • If desired, stir in rum or bourbon gently.
  • Chill in the fridge or add ice just before serving.
  • Serve in glasses or a punch bowl, garnished with additional nutmeg or cinnamon if desired.

Notes

Quality eggnog makes a big difference. Also, freshly grated nutmeg enhances the flavor significantly.
