For the pudding mixture

  • 5.1 oz chocolate instant pudding mix Essential for the rich chocolate flavor.
  • 3 cups milk Whole milk is preferred for creaminess.
  • 8 oz Cool Whip Lightens and fluffiness to the pudding.

For the cookie layers

  • 24 pieces Oreo cookies (crushed) Creates the 'dirt' layer.
  • 6 pieces Milano double chocolate cookies Use as tombstones; decorate with frosting.

For the toppings

  • 1 cup candy pumpkins Adds festive decoration.
  • 1 cup googly eyes (edible) Adds whimsy to the dessert.
  • 1 cup gummy worms (optional) Fun addition for a spooky touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine the chocolate instant pudding mix and milk in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Whisk until thickened and smooth.
  • Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is creamy and airy.
  • Crush the Oreo cookies by placing them in a plastic bag and smashing them or using a food processor until they turn into fine crumbs.

Assembly

  • Layer a spoonful of crushed Oreos at the bottom of each cup.
  • Add some googly eyes to the sides of the cups.
  • Spoon a generous layer of pudding mixture on top.
  • Repeat the layers until cups are filled, finishing with crushed Oreos.
  • Top with a Milano cookie tombstone and candy pumpkin. Optionally, add gummy worms.

Chill

  • Refrigerate the cups for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

These cups are best served chilled. Decorate as creatively as you wish!
