Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Marinade

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Use larger shrimp for best presentation.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin for better flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Fresh lime juice preferred.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder A flavor enhancer.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Regular or smoked paprika.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper For additional bite.

Fruit

  • 1 fresh pineapple, cut into chunks Choose a ripe, fragrant pineapple.

Skewers

  • 4-6 pieces skewers (wooden or metal) If using wooden skewers, soak for about 30 minutes.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the shrimp to the marinade and let it sit for about 15-30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread the marinated shrimp and pineapple chunks onto the skewers, alternating between them.

Grilling

  • Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
  • Remove from the grill, serve immediately, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, don’t crowd the grill. Try adding a splash of soy sauce to the marinade for extra flavor. Feel free to substitute shrimp with chicken or use different fruits like mango.
