  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Button or cremini mushrooms are preferred.
  • 2 tbsp honey Brings a lovely sticky sweetness.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Low-sodium preferred.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced For a fragrant base.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For sautéing the chicken.
  • 1 tbsp butter Enhances flavor.
  • to taste salt & pepper Essential for flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and slice chicken breasts thinly, chop mushrooms, and mince garlic.
  • In a bowl, season chicken with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Add chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  • Reduce heat to medium, toss in butter and minced garlic; sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet, stir occasionally for about 4-5 minutes until tender.
  • Drizzle honey and soy sauce over the chicken and mushrooms, cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until well combined.
  • Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

For best results, ensure to brown the chicken well and avoid overcrowding the pan. Lasts 3 days in the fridge as leftovers.
