  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or any preferred type.

Bacon Addition

  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped Crispy bacon adds the savory element.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Use real maple syrup for best flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and maple syrup.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this into the butter mixture.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped bacon.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
