Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in buttermilk, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently combine the wet and dry ingredients, folding them together until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftover bars tightly wrapped or in an airtight container for 3-4 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
