Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Stream in the vanilla extract and fold in the orange zest until well incorporated.
  • Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing on low speed until well combined.
  • Fold in the sliced almonds and white chocolate chips.
  • Sprinkle flour on your countertop and roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
