  • 1 piece flatbread (store-bought or homemade) Store-bought is quicker, but homemade is great if you have the time.
  • 1 unit ripe pear, thinly sliced Preferably Bartlett or Anjou for buttery consistency.
  • 3 oz goat cheese, crumbled Good-quality cheese elevates the dish.
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce or jam Use whatever you have on hand.
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves Fresh thyme adds much more flavor than dried.
  • 1 tsp olive oil For brushing the flatbread.
  • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) Adds crunch; can skip if nut-free.
  • 1 pinch sea salt Essential for enhancing flavors.
  • 1 drizzle honey or balsamic glaze (optional) Adds a sweet finishing touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the flatbread on the lined baking sheet and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  • Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the flatbread.
  • Layer the thin pear slices over the cranberry sauce.
  • Crumble goat cheese over the top.
  • Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of sea salt.
  • If using, add chopped nuts.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is softened and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are golden.
  • Optional: Drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze before serving.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to regain crispiness.
