Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz Brie Cheese Opt for full-fat brie for the creamiest texture.
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour Can be substituted with almond flour for a gluten-free version.
  • 1 large Egg, beaten Gives a lovely golden hue to the bites.
  • 1 cup Pistachios, finely chopped Unsalted is preferable.
  • 1/4 cup Fig Jam Can substitute with date jam.
  • 1 tbsp Honey Local honey adds depth and can help with allergies.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Set up a three-part breading station: a plate with flour, another with the beaten egg, and a plate filled with finely chopped pistachios.
  • Coat each brie cube with flour, dip it in the beaten egg, and then roll it generously in pistachios.

Cooking

  • Place the coated brie bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they aren't crowded.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and melty.
  • While baking, warm fig jam and honey in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring often.
  • Drizzle the fig honey glaze over the bites once they are out of the oven and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, don't overcrowd the baking tray and let the brie sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before cooking. These can also be assembled ahead of time and frozen.
