Crunchy Coating

Pastry Shell

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed and cut into small squares Creates a golden-brown, flaky exterior.

Sweet Glaze

  • 2 tablespoons honey Sweetens the glaze.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cut the puff pastry into small squares large enough to fit a cube of brie.
  • Lay the pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Cut the brie cheese into bite-sized cubes about one inch in size.
  • Place a cube of cheese atop each pastry square.
  • Finely chop the pistachios and sprinkle them over the brie cubes.

Baking

  • Bake the bites in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Preparing the Glaze

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the cranberry sauce and honey until combined.

Serving

  • Once baked, drizzle the warm cranberry honey glaze over the brie bites.

Notes

Keep the puff pastry cold until you’re ready to assemble for the best texture. You can prepare the bites ahead and freeze them before baking.
