  • 6 oz brie cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes Use a high-quality brie for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios These add a lovely crunch and visual appeal.
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed Make sure it's high-quality for proper rising.
  • 1/4 cup fig jam Provides a sweet contrast to the brie.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adds an extra layer of sweetness.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into approximately 3-inch squares.
  • Place a cube of brie in the center of each square and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  • Fold the pastry over the cheese and nuts to seal. Pinch the edges to secure.
  • Arrange the parcels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the fig honey glaze by warming fig jam and honey in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  • Let the brie bites cool slightly before drizzling with the fig honey glaze.

Notes

Best served warm. These can be made ahead and frozen before baking. Just wrap individually and freeze, adding 5 extra minutes to baking time when cooking from frozen.
