  • 1 tbsp honey For sweetness, consider substitutes if needed.
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar Contributes to the caramelization.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Keep an eye on it while cooking to avoid burning.
  • 1 tsp black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional) Increase or decrease based on spice preference.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For frying.
  • to taste chopped parsley for garnish Adds a fresh touch.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add beef cubes and sear for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Mix in soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar, stirring until the sugar caramelizes.
  • Add pineapple chunks and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Season with black pepper and chili flakes, if using, and stir well.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish can be customized with other proteins like chicken or tofu. Works well with various vegetables too. Leftovers improve in flavor!
